Crispy Tofu and Rice

As most children, I hated tofu when I was little. I did not like it and I would put up a fit when my mom made it and tried to get me to eat it. But over the years I have grown to like it certain ways, when it's cooked well and with other good things. The texture still sometimes weirds me out, which is why I like it best tasty, thin and crispy, so the tofu-ness is as unnoticeable as possible. I know, I know, why bother even eating tofu if I am trying to make it as untofulike possible, but it is nice to just have something different once in a while, and honestly it is a lot cheaper than a package of meat for dinner...
So as usual, I looked up a lot of different recipes for making crispy tofu and then kind of made it up myself. I first patted it dry as you are supposed to do with tofu apparently, and then sliced it into thin squares and coated it in seasoned corn flour. I fried it in sesame oil. Oh and also tried to get some real sesame seeds to stick to them too. Fried em up in the pan until the outsides where dark and crispy and then mixed the rice into the same pan, adding a little more oil and soy sauce and more seeds to make it sort of asian fried riceish.
All in all, I was pretty proud of it. The boyfriend had a few pieces and then couldn't do any more, but considering his former sentiment on tofu (insisted he would never even taste tofu because he hated it for no reason that could be explained) I was still pretty happy with it. He admitted that it tasted good, but some of his old tofu grudge was still there apparently and he just couldn't have more than a few pieces. Luckily I made a lot of rice.
