I wanted to make some easy homemade breakfast biscuits a few weekends ago when I was in Vermont visiting my parents. I looked up a few recipes and didn't really believe they would be any good based on the lack of ingredients, but since I hadn't planned for them and didn't have many ingredients anyway, I was grateful for that aspect. They turned out delicious! Definitely worth keeping in your recipe box and pulling out whenever there are guests and you want to seem like a great hostess in the morning. I don't want to ever forget how to make them so I wanted to write it down right away!
It's so easy.
{Combine}
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
½ teaspoon cream of tartar
¼ teaspoon salt
{Cut in}
1/2 cup butter
{Stir in}
3/4 cup milk
Knead the dough and then shape into a flat rectangle about 1/2 inch thick and cut out circles using a small cup. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 450 degrees for about 10 minutes. Done!
